The all new Nokia 6700

Nokia recently launched its 6700, which is the next piece after 6300. Catering to the mid tier range success of 6300, the all new 6700 is up with its new features. It really manages to make itself a place for itself, gratifying the consumers’ need with very economical pricing. Nokia, which has been recently successful with their candy bar shaped phones, has yet again stuck to the design. Also, the unsuccessful foray into sliders did not catch much attention. The newest one will be available in four trims, Chrome, Matt Steel, Black and Brown. The front side of the panel is custom made to have an overall glossy look and its rear end is stainless steel. A mere 116.5 grams, this mobile can also be called as a light one. The phone is equipped with a 5 Mega Pixel camera that comes along with a Light Emitting Diode flash. This is good news for those photo-graphic-geeks. The Video screen is a 240X320 pixel one, supporting at most 16 million colors and also armed with ambient light sensor.

Smart accessories for your IPod

1379All the leading companies have started to produce speakers for Ipod, the best selling music player in the world. Just check out some of the nifty Ipod speakers that promise extraordinary performance and amazing sound clarity. I am going to stress on the products from three main brands namely Altec Lansing Creative and Logitech.

InMotion IM7 iPod Speakers

Exclusively designed for the Ipod, with an eye catchy design, this portable battery-powered system promises you sound as good as standard home music system. It is a bit expensive; costs 250$ but then it is definitely worth its price. Like any other Ipod music systems it charges your Ipod when docked.

Creative X Dock

xdock2The X Dock from Creaive is the ultimate home Ipod device. The best part about this product is that you can connect your entire house for music without any wires. It is powered by the Creative X-Fi 2.4Ghz wireless transitter. The speakers can be located anywhere in the house using Creative’s X-Fi wireless receiver. You need to shell out 200$ for the dock and 100$ for the receiver.

Logitech iHome

If you are the kind of person who likes to go to sleep to the sound of music, then this one’s for you. It comes with a “Gentle Sleep” mode that gradually adjusts the volume while you go off to sleep. Nike SportBand: Runner’s Delight

nike_sportband_1-300x168Nike had introduced Nike+ system way back in 2006, which relied on IPod music players for display. It seemed like only the Ipod owners could make use of the product. Now Nike has come up with an exciting product that can keep track of all your running stats and doesn’t require you to have an IPod music player.

The Nike sportband comes with a small built in display which indicates distance, pace, time and calories burned. However, the display lacks brightness and can be hardly noticed when exposed to sunlight. The sensor that comes along in the package needs to be placed in Nike+ shoes. But it is not a must to have Nike+ shoes to make use of this gadget. You can just knit a small pouch in your existing shoes and place the sensor in it. It is equipped with a USB connection that makes it easy to upload data to www.nikeplus.com where you can compare your running stats with those of other runners. This is a cool gadget for all the runners and is priced at 50$.

Nokia E51 Review: The most affordable business phone

nokia_e51-224x300It is obvious that all the E-series phones that Nokia has designed so far are quite bulky and exceptionally big. Nokia E51, the slimmest phone of all the E-series is both extremely compact and light weight.  The display is simply gorgeous. It comes with a 2 inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) active TFT display that supports up to 16 million colors. The phone offers excellent voice quality, sound is very clear without any interference. Nokia E51 runs on the Symbian 9.2 OS with Series 60 3rd Edition user interface. The E51 is a 3G HSDPA phone, so download speeds are fast (up to 3.6 Mbps), and it also supports quadband GSM, so you should be able to use it anywhere in the world. The only disappointing factor is the 2 megapixel with no flash and other essential camera features. Battery life is decent, no issues there. This phone is a great gadget for all business users who love to stay connected and do business with ease. Nokia E51 retails for around 220$.
